Meric Digital
Want the best in digital image scanning? You can't go past this
fantastic company, who has helped me on many occasions. Meric Digital
takes slides, negatives and photos, and using the latest
technology, scans them onto DVDs or CDs. They can create DVD slideshows
of your images, set to music, which is perfect for wedding photos or
photos of family - particularly your kids. They also do a great job of
restoring or enhancing precious old photos. Many people have a
bunch of old family slides sitting in the back of a cupboard but no
slide projector. Do what I did and get them onto disk! They make a
great present for older members of your family in particular.
Aussie Reviews
This website is fantastic - it gives informative and interesting
reviews on a huge range of books and DVDs for both adults and children,
together with other pages such as links pages and author pages.
A must-read website for all who love reading and are looking for new
books for themselves or their children.
The Victorian Canine Association
Are you thinking of buying a German Shepherd Dog? Have you always
wanted to own one? German Shepherds are one of the most intelligent and
friendly breeds of
dog in the world. They are loyal companions and
excellent guard dogs with the intelligence to distinguish between
friends and foes, and to be gentle with children. However... they are a
big responsibility and require
a great deal of care and attention. They need lots of training, walks
and games to keep their active mind and body happy. They are not a dog
that can be left in the back yard day in day out, without much
excercise - though this is the case with all dogs, really. NEVER buy a
German Shepherd Dog
without consulting your local Canine Association (such as the Victorian
Canine Association in Victoria, Australia).
Look at many dogs or pups before you purchase one. If you are buying a
pup, seeing the pup's parents is a must. Make sure you pick a pup from
parents with a good solid temperament. Parents that are not fearful or
over-excitable. Go to different dog clubs associated with your local
Canine Association and ask around. Find out from experienced people who
the best breeders are and where to buy your pup. Be sure you understand
the
time and expense involved in buying and caring for a big, active dog. NEVER be tempted to buy a cheap
dog from an unregistered breeder, or a pup from a pet shop or large
'puppy farm' type kennels; it's just
not worth it, health and temperament-wise. Some large 'puppy farm'
kennels actually charge more than legitimate registered breeders! Be
sure you have all the
facts and buy from a registered
breeder that is part of a breed scheme in your state or country. After you've done your research,
if you still feel you can look after a big, active dog, you won't find
a better
breed.
